These DIY Thanksgiving photo props were super easy to make and only cost me $3!!!
My out of pocket cost breakdown was as follows:
Dowel Rods $1.49
How amazing is that????
The best thing about these (besides the super low cost) is that you can totally customize them!!
Your only limitation is your own imagination!!!
If you don’t want to read the DIY instructions below, you can click here and download the free PDF.
Once you have downloaded the PDF, you’ll need to cut the designs out and attach them to dowel rods. (I explain that step below in the instructions).
Ok..let’s get started!!!!
The first step to creating your DIY Thanksgiving photo props is to go to the canva website.
To get to the canva website go to http://www.canva.com
This amazing program will you allow to create 1,000’s of amazing designs…all for FREE!!!
Once in canva, create a new account.
Once you have created your account, login and choose “create a design” then select “US Letter”
Now you are ready to begin adding shapes and text to your design.
To add shapes, select the elements option.
To add text, select the text option.
It’s easy to edit your color and text choices, as well as, do many other things!!! It won’t take you long to become very familiar with how the program works. If you encounter problems, feel free to leave me a comment below, and I will get in contact with you ASAP!!
Once you are happy with your design, select “File” and save the file as a printable PDF.
Download and print the file.
After I printed and cut the designs, I arranged them on a large poster board and glued them down.
After the glue was dry, I cut the photo props out again.
The final step was to attach them to dowel rods with clear packing tape. I picked up a package of dowel rods at Hobby Lobby for $1.49!!
I think the one below is my favorite!!!
